The Philadelphia Eagles are 1-4 and desperately need a win on Sunday to salvage their season. The Washington Redskins are 3-1, and in sole possession of first place in the NFC East. ... Wait, what the hell?

The Eagles and Redskins meet in Landover, Md. under circumstances that, had you predicted them before the season, would have been laughed out of any bar, barber shop, saloon or general vicinity of the water cooler. The Eagles were supposed to be the world-beaters. The Redskins, Offseason Champs, as their known, have not been good for some time.

For the Eagles, a loss this week would all but end what's left of their playoff hopes. A win, and Philly can start to climb out of this hole.

Neither of these teams won last week. Philadelphia fell to the Bills, while the Redskins had the week off to prepare for this matchup.
