Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy is one of three players nominated for the Week 8 FedEx Ground Player of the Week after his performance in Philadelphia's 34-7 victory against the Dallas Cowboys.
Fans can vote for the honor between McCoy, San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore and St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson.
McCoy paced Philadelphia's decisive win with 185 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Gore ran for 134 yards and one touchdown, and Jackson led St. Louis to a surprising upset 31-21 New Orleans by carrying the ball 25 times for 159 yards and two scores.
McCoy's big game came against what had been the NFL's top rush defense. Before being shredded by McCoy, Dallas entered the week allowing fewer than 70 yards per game.
The Philadelphia back has now totaled 754 yards and eight touchdowns through seven games. He is currently second in the NFL in rushing yards, trailing only Minnesota's Adrian Peterson, but Peterson has played one additional game since the Vikings haven't yet reached their bye week.
