This Sunday night the 3-6 Philadelphia Eagles travel to East Rutherford to face off against the division-leading New York Giants,. The Eagles are coming off a terrible loss to the Arizona Cardinals, where they allowed the backup quarterback John Skelton and the Cardinals – who had not won a road game all season – come into Philadelphia as 14-point underdogs and win outright. The loss dropped the Eagles to 3-6 on the season and pushed their backs about as far against the wall without going through it. If still they have any chance of making the Playoffs and/or winning the division they must defeat the Giants on Sunday night.
According to Odds Shark the Giants opened as 3.5 point favorites, but the line has since inflated to four or 4.5 in many places. According to Vegas Insider 90 percent of the wagers coming in on this game are on the Giants minus the points. If that trend continues expect the line to continue to inflate as kickoff approaches.
The Over/Under for the game is currently set at 47 and the moneylines for each team are around -220 for the Giants and +200 for the Eagles – meaning a 220-dollar bet on the Giants to win straight up would win 100 and a 100 bet on the Eagles to win outright would net 200 dollars.
Eagles quarterback, Michael Vick's status for the game is still up in the air as he nurses broken ribs.
