Despite earlier reports that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick had been ruled out of Sunday's game against the New York Giants, coach Andy Reid would not dismiss the possibility that the Pro Bowler could return this week.
Vick has not practiced yet this week due to broken ribs, but Reid said he would check with team doctors later in the week to determine Vick's availability.
"We keep an open communication, that's how we do it. So, that's how we'll go. I know he wants to play, and I understand that, so that's what he's shooting for. I think we've got to make sure we check with the docs, and Rick, and see how things go," Reid said.
Reid said Vick has shown improvement through the week, and even felt better from Wednesday to Thursday.
"He's feeling a little bit better. I'm not going to tell you he's feeling great, but he's feeling a little bit better," said Reid.
