For one night, the Philadelphia Eagles' fourth-quarter struggles abated. And all it took was Vince Young filling in for Michael Vick and the much-maligned Eagles defense coming through against comeback king Eli Manning.
Young led the game-winning touchdown drive with less than three minutes to go, Jason Babin forced a Manning fumble that scuttled the Giants' attempt to send the game to overtime, and LeSean McCoy salted it all away with a 60-yard run to kill the clock.
Young threw for 258 yards and one touchdown pass, and leaned on Riley Cooper, who made his first catch of the season in a five-catch, 75-yard, one-touchdown performance, to do it. McCoy tallied 113 rushing yards on the night.
Manning threw for 264 yards and a touchdown in the loss, and had thrown a game-tying touchdown pass to Victor Cruz earlier in the fourth quarter. But his fumble was his second turnover of the night, and ended up being fatal to the Giants' chances.
The victory moves Philadelphia to 4-6 on the year, and keeps faint playoff hopes alive. The Giants fell to 6-4 with the loss, and are tied for the NFC East lead with the Dallas Cowboys.
