Eagles Vs Dolphins: LeSean McCoy TD Ties It At 7

LeSean McCoy scored his 13th rushing TD of the season as the Eagles pulled into a 7-7 tie with the Dolphins in the 2nd quarter at Sunlife Stadium this afternoon. McCoy's score from from two yards out came against a stingy Miami rush defense that had previously only allowed three rushing TDs all season.

Dolphins coach Tony Sparano will undoubtedly catch some flack after his decision to go for a 55 yard FG, which was missed, gave the Eagles excellent field position on the drive. It took Michael Vick just three completions to put the Eagles in the red zone, where LeSean McCoy then went to work.

McCoy is approaching two long standing Eagles franchise records. His 13th rushing TD of the season ties him for second all time with Ricky Watters and Steve Van Buren. It also puts him just two TDs behind Van Buren for the franchise record of 15, which has stood since 1945. He also needs just two TDs overall to reach Van Buren's total TDs mark of 18, also set in 1945.
