Felix Jones Injury Update: Jones' Status Reportedly Depends On Giants-Jets Game

The status of Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones against the Philadelphia Eagles could depend on another game entirely.

Multiple reports say that Jones' status could be determined by the outcome of the New York Giants-New York Jets game early Saturday afternoon. Jones almost certainly will not play against Philadelphia if the Giants win, but it is possible that he plays if the Giants fall. Matt Mosley reports that Jones would be "50-50" if the Giants lose.

Jones has not practiced this week after his hamstring tightened up on his final carry against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. The fourth-year back is officially listed as questionable.

Jones lost his starting position to DeMarco Murray earlier this season, but Murray recently underwent surgery to repair a broken fracture in his ankle and is expected to miss another month.

If Jones does not go against Philadelphia, Sammy Morris is expected to get the majority of carries.
