Michael Vick Injury: QB Out With A Broken Hand

Michael Vick has been injured and knocked out of a game for the second straight week. Last week, he left the game with a concussion and this week he has been diagnosed with a broken right hand. Vick is a lefty and did play after getting x-rays on the hand, but late in the fourth quarter he remained on the bench as the Eagles took the ball down 22-16. Mike Kafka instead led the Eagles out and proceeded to throw an interception on his first attempt.

Going forward for Vick, the prognosis is unclear. It is his non throwing hand that was broken, so it’s really going to come down to how pain he’s in and how well he is able to secure the ball with essentially only one good hand. He could conceivably play, but he’s obviously not going to be 100%.

The Eagles have also lost Jeremy Maclin with hamstring injury and guard Kyle Devan is out.
