Video: Steve Smith Helps Out His Old Team

Steve Smith was originally drafted by the Giants and played four seasons there. This offseason, he signed with the Eagles after the Giants failed to come to a deal with him. Smith made a reputation for having excellent hands in New York and in fact holds their single season record for receptions. However, those fabled hands were not on display today.

On third and six with the Eagles in the red zone, Michael Vick hit Smith with a perfect pass that would have made for a first down at about the ten yard line. However, as you'll see in the video, Smith lets the pass bound right off his hands, up in the air and into the waiting hands of Giants CB Aaron Ross.

The Giants would end up with their first TD of the day on the ensuing drive.
