NFL Cuts 2011: Eagles Release Sinorice Moss & Chad Hall

The Eagles have until this afternoon to cut down their roster to 53. They released nine players yesterday and placed two on the physically unable to perform list. Today, the rest of the team learns their fate. The first two players on the block were Chad Hall and Sinorice Moss. Both were working as special teamers and WRs with varying degrees of success this preseason. Hall actually led the team in catches and yards this preseason, but fumbled a punt return against the Jets. Hall is still practice squad eligible so he could be back.

Moss really did play fairly well in preseason. He did good things both as a WR and a punt returner. He could certainly find himself a job somewhere around the NFL. If not, as a vested veteran the Eagles could bring him back after week one without guaranteeing his full salary.

We'll continue tracking the Eagles cuts as they look to trim their roster to 53 by 6pm tonight.
