Other teams are interested in Steve Spagnuolo and nothing is official yet, but the Philadelphia Eagles are rumored to be adding Spagnuolo to their staff at some point in the near future.
Is he the answer?
CSN Philly's Ray Didinger and Derrick Gunn discussed the possibility of hiring Spagnuolo.
"I think Steve Spagnuolo's a terrific coach. It makes sense because he's been here, it makes sense because he studied under Jim Johnson and knows that philosophy," said Didinger. "But you're going to have to do things differently. That defensive line worked fine. You got pressure on the quarterback, you led the NFL in sacks. That's all well and good. But you're going to have to change your linebacker scheme, change your defensive secondary scheme. You're going to have to play the back seven in a way that compliments the front four.
"It's going to take a creative defensive coordinator to do that. I think Steve Spagnuolo's that kind of guy. You can't be more creative than what he was in that postseason run with the Giants a couple years ago. He found a way to stop the offense that everyone thought was unstoppable."
