2012 NFL Draft: Eagles Reportedly Looking At Defensive Linemen In Senior Bowl

The Philadelphia Eagles are giving defensive lineman participating in this season's Senior Bowl a serious look (via Philly.com).

The Eagles have the 15th pick in this year's NFL Draft. While it seems that linebacker might be the position for Philadelphia to fill in the first round, and that's what mock drafts have been projecting, the Eagles are apparently looking at defensive linemen instead at the Senior Bowl.

Penn State DT Devon Still is not at the Senior Bowl as he is injured. North Carolina's Quinton Coples is participating and is probably the best defensive end in the draft. He's met with the Eagles but will probably not be around by the time they get to pick.

Beyond those two players, there is still plenty of talent to look at. A second-round pick might be more suitable to use on a defensive lineman. Marshall's Vinny Curry will likely still be around. When you look through his stats, he was as devastating a force for the Thundering Herd as any defensive lineman in the country. Andre Branch of Clemson could still be available in the second round. Branch could conceivably be converted to a linebacker.
