Philadelphia Eagles Release Secondary Coach

According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN the Philadelphia Eagles have informed secondary coach Johnny Lynn that he will not be returning for the 2012-13 NFL season.

Eagles announce secondary coach Johnny Lynn has been let go

This move could be the Eagles positioning themselves for the return of former defensive coach Steve Spagnuolo. Spagnuolo coached with the Eagles from 1999 to 2006, won a Super Bowl with the Giants in 2007 as their defensive coordinator, and was most recently fired by the Rams as a head coach.

The Eagles defense wasn't as bad as people made them out to be last season. They ranked 10th in the league in total points allowed and eighth in the league in average number of yards allowed per game.
