Head coach Andy Reid said Thursday that when the Philadelphia Eagles return from their bye week in Week 8, Michael Vick will remain as the team's starting quarterback and offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg will continue making the play calls, according to a report by Jeff McLane of Philly.com on Thursday.

After firing defensive coordinator Juan Castillo, Reid has indicated that other changes to the 3-3 Eagles are coming, though the specifics of such moves remain unclear.

"As I sit here today he's our starting quarterback," Reid said of Vick in the report. "I'm just telling the truth to you. That's what I'm saying to you. Right now Michael Vick is the starting quarterback. I've told you that I'm going through and I'm evaluating."

As for Mornhinweg, though Reid has experience in calling the offensive plays in his earlier days with the Eagles, he remains confident in his current coordinator, saying in the report, "I think I have a good play-caller."

Philadelphia will host the undefeated Atlanta Falcons, who are also currently on their bye week, when the teams return to action on Sunday, Oct. 28.
