The Philadelphia Eagles used their bye week to prepare for their showdown with the unbeaten Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, and some pundits believe it's going to result in a victory for Philly at home.
In his Week 8 picks, however, SB Nation's Ryan Van Bibber thinks the Eagles have too many problems to overcome:
Depending on which Eagles team shows up, this could be one of the better games of the week. Andy Reid sacrificed Juan Castillo last week, but the Eagles still have all kinds of problems, including an offense averaging almost three turnovers a game. Atlanta's defense just so happens to average the same number of takeaways.
The pick: 21-17, Falcons.
Sports Illustrated's Peter King believes a focused effort from Philadelphia's Michael Vick will be the difference. "I do believe Mike Vick, as he says, will play angry this week," King writes, "not only because this is his old team but because he knows Andy Reid isn't going to put up with his 2.2 turnovers per game, the highest quarterback average in the league."
ESPN's 12-man panel of football experts picked 8-4 overall in favor of the Eagles, and Yahoo! Sports' Mike Silver and Jason Cole also went with Philadelphia while Les Carpenter sided with the Falcons.
Kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field is set for 1 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised on Fox.
