The Philadelphia Eagles went into last week's bye week in one of the worst ways possible: following two straight close losses.
It doesn't get much easier from here. After a week to think about their losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions -- by a combined five points -- the Eagles get to face an undefeated Atlanta Falcons team that has found ways to win all season long.
Neither team played last week, so both come into this game relatively healthy. The Eagles have been practicing at full strength and hope to remain that way on Sunday. The Falcons' Antone Douglas has been fighting a hamstring injury, but there is not much concern in Atlanta beyond that.
So far this season, the Falcons have shown they are the best team in the NFC South, already holding a four-game lead on the second-place New Orleans Saints. The 3-3 Eagles sit a game-and-a-half behind the Giants in the NFC East.
