Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick did not participate in practice on Wednesday after suffering a concussion against the Dallas Cowboys. Coach Andy Reid has not ruled Vick out yet, but all signs seem to indicate that Nick Foles will get his first NFL start.

Vick will need to pass a variety of tests, as required by the NFL's concussion protocol, before he can return to practice, after which he must pass more tests before he can play.

Also missing practice for the Eagles on Wednesday were wide receivers Jason Avant (hamstring) and Mardy Gilyard (hamstring), as well as running back Chris Polk (toe). Avant and Polk have both already been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins.

There was some good news, as guard Danny Watkins returned to practice for the Eagles and was a full participant after missing the last three games with an ankle injury. Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin was a full participant as well despite a nagging back injury. Also practicing on Wednesday were safety Kurt Coleman (back), linebacker Akeem Jordan (thumb) and linebacker Mychal Kendricks (foot).
