The Philadelphia Eagles got bad news and good news at practice on Wednesday as right tackle Todd Herremans was placed on injured reserve, but safety Nate Allen returned to practice.
Herremans was placed on IR Wednesday after tearing tendons in his ankle during the Eagles Monday night loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Safety Nate Allen missed the Saints game with a hamstring injury, but was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Missing practice on Wednesday were running back LeSean McCoy (illness), wide receiver Mardy Gilyard (hamstring), running back Chris Polk (toe), safety David Sims (foot), and guard Danny Watkins (ankle). Watkins has not played since the Eagles Oct. 14 game against the Detroit Lions. Gilyard has already been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. Star RB McCoy did not show up to practice at all as he deals with an illness.
In addition to Allen, wide receiver Jason Avant (back), cornerback Brandon Boykin (toe) and linebacker Akeem Jordan (groin) were all listed on the injury report, but were full participants at practice.
