2012 NFL Scouting Combine: Wednesday's Preview And Schedule

It's that time again for the NFL schedule.

The 2012 NFL Scouting Combine is set to get underway Wednesday in Indianapolis for kickers, punters, offensive linemen and tight ends.

This group will come in for the first of their four days in the Hoosier State. Today will be a lot of red tape, including registrations and medical exams. Tomorrow, the players can expect to conduct interviews and take measurements for teams to analyze and dissect.

On Friday, things start to pick up with workouts to compliment more interviews and an NFLPA meeting. Finally, the group will get on the field and show their stuff on Saturday before heading home.

It's incredible to think about the amount of money made and lost on every drill. If a player runs a fast 40-yard dash or bench-presses more reps than expected, he stands to move up the board considerably. Last year it was Julio Jones who wowed the scouts and ended up being nabbed by Atlanta with the 5th overall pick.

Here's the rest of the scheduled groups:

Thursday: Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers and Running Backs

Friday: Defensive Linemen and Linebackers

Saturday: Defensive Backs
