2012 NFL Mock Draft: Philadelphia Eagles Select Fletcher Cox, DT, Mississippi State

In Mocking The Draft's latest 2012 NFL Mock Draft, Brad Wells projects that the Philadelphia Eagles will use the 15th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft to select Fletcher Cox, a defensive tackle from Mississippi State.

Wells says that Cox, a 6-foot-4, 295-pounder, fits into Andy Reid's vision.

Fletcher Cox | Defensive tackle | Mississippi State: Eagles coach and personnel overlord Andy Reid loves to stock up on two things: Project quarterbacks (that he can later pawn off to dumb buyers) and defensive tackles. Cox is light-footed and quick, which is perfect for d-line coach Jim Washburn.

The National Football Post would consider Cox a bit of a stretch at the 15th selection, rating him the 27th-best prospect on their NFL Draft Big Board. The Post describes Cox as a player with a quick first step whose technique still needs more polish.
