2012 NFL Draft News: Philadelphia Eagles Want To Trade Up For Fletcher Cox, According To Report

The Philadelphia Eagles have spent a lot of time acquiring information about former Texas A & M quarterback Ryan Tannehill, and they are reportedly interested in moving up in the draft. But the two pieces of information are not related, according to Tony Pauline of SI.com and Draft Insider.

Pauline reports that the Eagles would be looking to draft former Mississippi State defensive tackle Fletcher Cox if move up into the top 10 selections of the 2012 NFL Draft.

There's been a buzz building around the Philadelphia Eagles potentially trading up for Ryan Tannehill. Several sources have told us if the Eagles trade into the top ten it will be for defensive lineman Fletcher Cox, not Tannehill. Cox would be perfect for the Eagles wide nine/nine technique.

Cox, a 6-4, 295-pounder, notched 56 tackles and five tackles as a junior before foregoing his final season of eligibility.
