Asante Samuel Trade Rumors: Eagles Will Take Low Draft Pick To Unload Cornerback?

The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly interested in taking a low NFL Draft pick in exchange for veteran cornerback Asante Samuel (via Philly.com).

One of the teams interested in Samuel, the Denver Broncos, are apparently prepared to give the Eagles that pick.

The Denver Post first reported the Broncos' interest in the four-time Pro Bowler. According to the Post, Denver had two offers on the table - one involving a fifth or sixth round pick in next week's draft, the other for an unnamed player.

The Eagles were believed to be seeking a third or fourth round pick for Samuel, but they are willing to take less than that, according to two NFL sources.

One thing that is holding up the deal is Samuel himself. He is still interested in restructuring his contract and not reportedly interested in what Denver wants from him.
