2012 NFL Draft Biggest Steals And Reaches: Fletcher Cox A Steal For Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles got their man, and he's one of the 2012 NFL Draft's biggest steals.

For weeks, maybe even months, leading up to the 2012 NFL Draft, the Eagles were linked to defensive tackle Fletcher Cox. After so much speculation, the Eagles traded up to select him with the 12th pick, a move that Sports Illustrated's Tony Pauline labeled one of the 2012 NFL Draft's biggest steals.

The Eagles' desire to acquire Cox was well documented before the draft. The fact they gave little away to move up three slots and choose him makes this a huge coup for the organization.

The Eagles were thrilled when Cox dropped out of the Top 10 and jumped on the opportunity to select him. They surrendered their own first-round pick (No. 15), a fourth-rounder (114) and a fifth-rounder (172) for the 12th pick and the right to draft Cox.
