Eagles Free Agency 2012: Derek Landri Agrees To One-Year Deal

Derek Landri is coming back to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Landri agreed this morning to a one-year contract with the terms yet to be disclosed. The 28-year-old will help provide a nice rotation at defensive tackle for the Eagles, along with Mike Patterson, Antonio Dixon and Cullen Jenkins.

In 2011, Landri recorded 43 tackles and two sacks in only 12 games including a team-leading eight behind the line of scrimmage. While he doesn't get major notoriety, Landri is a very valuable piece for Andy Reid and his squad to use as very nice depth and the occasional spot-starter.

After spending his first three seasons as a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Landri bounced to Carolina before joining the Eagles last season.

A former fifth round pick out of Notre Dame, Landri had the best year of his career by far and might be someone for Philly fans to watch in 2012.
