Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters has reportedly re-injured his ruptured right Achilles tendon after the Roll-A-Bout device he was using in his kitchen broke (via CSN Philly).
Peters was trying to maneuver in his kitchen when the 4-wheel alternative to a set of crutches or a wheelchair broke and caused Peters to fall face first onto the floor and re-injure his Achilles tendon.
Peters initially had surgery to repair the tendon back in April after the injury occurred while he was working out in Texas in March. As Peters needed a second surgery, his recovery time should be pushed back at least three weeks. Peters plans on suing the makers of the device.
The Eagles have signed a veteran tackle, Demetress Bell, since the first injury to Peters occurred.
