The Philadelphia Eagles have released rookie free agent quarterback Jacory Harris.
Harris was signed by the Eagles on May 11. Harris played quarterback for the University of Miami as a three-year starter and had 75 touchdowns (70 passing) and 8,826 passing yards, marks which were both second all-time in Miami history. Despite completing 60% of his passes in college, Harris also had accuracy issues and threw 48 interceptions.
By releasing Harris, the Birds are left with four quarterbacks for the start of OTAs: Michael Vick, Mike Kafka, Trent Edwards and third-round NFL Draft pick Nick Foles. The Eagles also have one open roster spot.
Here's a reminder of the OTA and mini-camp schedule for the Eagles:
OTA: May 22-24, May 30-June 1, June 4-7
Minicamp: May 12-14 (rookies), June 12-14
