DeSean Jackson spent much of last season frustrated with his contract situation. It's a new year, he has a new contract, and now Jackson is focused on becoming a better leader.
"Being a leader, carrying the guys with me, and stepping up and being accountable. That’s the biggest thing that this team needs," Jackson replied when asked what he's working on during the team's OTA's.
Jackson said he, Michael Vick, Jeremy Maclin, LeSean McCoy and Brent Celek all need to provide leadership for an Eagles team that started last year with high expectations but finished outside of the playoffs.
"As long as we’re able to do that and lead as leaders and everybody watches us and follows along, it doesn’t have to be any screaming and yelling or anything, but as long as we can lead by example and we’re going out there and showing the young guys what to do out there, everyone else will follow," Jackson said.
