Eagles Sign Rookie LB Mychal Kendricks To Four-Year Deal

The Philadelphia Eagles have reportedly agreed to a four-year contract with rookie linebacker Mychal Kendricks.

The Eagles picked Kendricks in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Cal (46th overall). Kendricks (5-11, 240) is the first of the Eagles' draft picks to sign with the team. For Cal last season, Kendricks had 106 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions. The quick linebacker and Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year is expected to be fighting for a spot on the strong side.

Kendricks is the fourth linebacker selection in the second round by the Eagles during Andy Reid's tenure as head coach. Barry Gardner (1999), Quinton Caver (2001) and Matt McCoy (2005) were the other second round linebacker picks by Philadelphia.
