Philadelphia Eagles Offseason 2012: Punter Brad Maynard Works Out For Eagles, According To Report

The Philadelphia Eagles worked out free agent punter Brad Maynard on Monday, according to Aaron Wilson of Scout.com.

The 38-year old Maynard, a 16-year NFL veteran, played for the Cleveland Browns in 2011. He averaged 40.5 yards per punt, with a net average of 36.7 yards, and put 32 of his 81 punts inside the red zone. Despite his advanced age, Maynard's 2011 stats were very similar to his career stats.

The Eagles' 2011 punter was Chas Henry, a 23-year old who averaged 42.9 yards per punt with a 36.9-yard net average. Henry was an All-American at University of Florida, where he was recognized as the nation's top college football punter before signing with the Eagles prior to the 2011 season as an undrafted free agent.
