NFL Free Agency 2012: TE Visanthe Shiancoe To Visit Eagles On Tuesday

The Philadelphia Eagles will reportedly work out free agent tight end Visanthe Shiancoe on Tuesday (via CSN Philly).

Shiancoe spent last season with the Minnesota Vikings, making 36 receptions for 409 yards and three touchdowns. He ranked 22nd among NFL tight ends in targets (70), 26th in receptions, 25th in yards and 23rd in touchdowns. Shiancoe, a former third-round NFL Draft pick, has 243 receptions for 2,677 yards and 27 touchdowns for his nine-year NFL career which he split with the Giants (2003-2006) and Vikings (2007-2011).

The Eagles are also looking closely at free agent punter Mat McBriar. McBriar worked out for the Eagles along with punters Jason Baker, Chris Bryan and Brad Maynard this week but reports said that McBriar performed the best out of the group (via CSN Philly).
