Eagles Training Camp 2012: Jeremy Maclin Says The Offense Is Solid

After a 2011 season that saw the Philadelphia Eagles fall far short of expectations, the 2012 campaign has plenty of impetus on it.

One of the players expected to play a major role in Philadelphia's success is wide receiver Jeremy Maclin. The star out of MIssouri thinks the squad is in a better position to make a run this year thanks to having a normal offseason.

"I thought that everything was just kind of rushed last year, so having a full offseason is definitely going to help us, Maclin said. " It helps us learn everything because guys have their playbooks earlier. Now, training camp is a teaching thing but it's also kind of teaching on the run. It's just the extra time that we have."

Even though Maclin has little to prove in camp, he isn't letting up.

"I just want to be reliable. Not everything is perfect, and when the ball is out there, I need to go out and make a play. I think [QB] Mike (Vick) did a tremendous job out there today, and the offense did a tremendous job as well. It was really competitive out there today."

That's good news for Eagles fans looking for something to cheer about come September.
