The Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens meet in Week 2 on Sunday, in a game many prognosticators see Baltimore winning on the road.
SB Nation's NFL Editor Joel Thorman is one of them:
For the first time perhaps ever, the Ravens' offense is better than the defense. They're the complete package and they can and will handle an Eagles team with holes on it.
The pick: 31-23, Ravens
The panel of pickers at ESPN, save for Chris Mortensen and Eric Allen, also went with the Ravens across the board.
Yahoo! Sports' Mike Silver, Les Carpenter and Jason Cole picked Baltimore to get the road win over an Eagles team that overcame an upset scare in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns as well.
Peter King of Sports Illustrated forecasted a 27-17 Ravens' win thanks in part to quarterback play:
A week ago, I never thought I'd pick the Ravens to win at the Linc, but I saw what I saw in Week 1, and so did you. I saw Mike Vick look lousy and I saw Joe Flacco look Manningish.
