Sergei Bobrovsky Steals The Flyers A Point In Washington

Washington, DC (Sports Network) – Mike Green scored a power-play goal 29 seconds into overtime to lift the Washington Capitals to a 3-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers at the Verizon Center.

Alexander Semin and Eric Fehr also tallied for the Capitals, who have won four games in a row. Washington goaltender Braden Holtby made 23 saves in his first NHL start.

Nikolay Zherdev and Ville Leino lit the lamp for Philadelphia, which had a six-game winning streak snapped. Sergei Bobrovsky, who was bidding to become the first rookie netminder since Pelle Lindbergh in 1982-83 to win seven consecutive starts, stopped 36 shots in defeat.
