Flyers Vs. Senators Score: Philadelphia Leads Ottawa 4-1 At End Of Second Period

If the Ottawa Senators hope to get back into their game against the Philadelphia Flyers, they had better do it soon.

The Broad Street Bullies currently hold a 4-1 lead at the end of the second period.

For the most part, the defense has held up their end of the bargain, keeping the Flyer sticks quiet after a 4-0 beating to open the game. The offense, however, has just one goal to speak of, a 10-foot tip in by Jason Spezza with a minute remaining in the second stanza.

Spezza’s shot came with an assist from Daniel Alfredsson and Erik Karlsson.

Much like the first period, fists were flying to earn both teams a mandatory timeout when Ottawa’s Chris Neil went blow-for-blow against Philadelphia’s Matt Walker.

With just 20 minutes left to play, the Senators need to do something special or they’ll find themselves faced with the fifth loss of the season against just one win.

See you after the game.
