Ouch.
The Philadelphia Flyers flew into the Scotiabank Place on Tuesday night (Oct. 18, 2011) in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Unfortunately nobody told the Senators.
The Broad Street Bullies lived up to their name north of the border by smashing the Sens 7-2 and improving to 4-1 on the season.
Ottawa drops to 1-4 in defeat.
Philadelphia jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first period with power play goals from Wayne Simmonds and Claude Giroux. A scoreless second period from the orange & black was followed up by two more in the third from James van Riemsdyk (power play) and Sean Couturier.
Matt Read and Maxime Talbot also found the net for the Flyers while Erik Karlsson and Jason Spezza scored for the Senators.
In other words, it was a blowout.
