Flyers 2, Coyotes 1: Matt Read's Last Minute Goal Steals It For Flyers

With just 19 seconds left in a tie game, Max Talbot found rookie Matt Read in front of the Phoenix net as he scored to give the Flyers a thrilling 2-1 win at the Wells Fargo Center. Not only was it an immense goal for the win, but Flyers finally solve Mike Smith, who was excellent tonight with 40 saves.

Ilya Bryzgalov was no slouch against his former squad either as stopped 30 and allowed just one goal. The first Flyers goal came on a nice play from James van Reimsdyk, who picked up the puck at his own blue line and took all the way down the ice before snapping a shot past Mike Smith.

With the win, the Flyers improve to 11-4-3 on the season and are now tied with the Penguins atop the Eastern conference with 25 points.
