The Philadelphia Flyers will look to extend a three-game winning streak Saturday afternoon against the Winnipeg Jets (3 p.m., CBC, CSN-PH).
The Flyers earned a thrilling win against the Phoenix Coyotes Thursday night when Matt Read poked home a rebound with 18.6 seconds left, giving Philadelphia a 2-1 lead the team would not relinquish.
Goalie Ilya Bryzgalov had 30 saves to beat his former team. Bryzgalov spent four seasons in Phoenix before signing a nine-year, $51 million deal with Philadelphia this summer.
The Flyers will miss Jaromir Jagr against Winnipeg. After suffering an undisclosed injury during the first period against Phoenix, the forward left the ice and did not return. General manager Paul Holmgren said Jagr would not travel with the team to Winnipeg.
The Jets have won two straight games, including a 4-1 victory against the Washington Capitals on Thursday.
