The Philadelphia Flyers visit the Montreal Canadiens Thursday night in hopes of their seventh straight victory.
The Flyers have not lost since the calendar changed to December, outscoring their last six opponents by a combined score of 26-14. The Flyers have averaged 4.33 goals per game during the month, led by Scott Hartnell, who has scored goals in all six consecutive wins.
Montreal has won two straight after losing six of its previous seven. The Canadiens and Flyers have met twice already this season, splitting the meetings as the home team prevailed in both games.
The Flyers are in the second game of an important portion of the schedule during which the team plays seven of eight games on the road. The only home bout in that eight-game stand comes when the Flyers host the Boston Bruins on Saturday.
