The Philadelphia Flyers are getting ready to take on the Dallas Stars Wednesday night at the American Airlines Center. The team currently sits atop the Atlantic Division with a 20-8-4 record and have won seven of their last 10 games. They'll be facing the 19-12-1 Stars, who are two points ahead of the Sharks for first place in the Pacific Division.
The main story surrounding this game has been whether it will feature one of Philadelphia's biggest stars. The Flyers have been without their lead scorer Claude Giroux since the forward sustained a concussion in a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on December 10.
According to Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News, Giroux was cleared for full-contact activities on Saturday and is officially "day-to-day." Giroux states he has been feeling no ill effects in practices since being cleared. Since there is no pre-game skate scheduled for Wednesday evening, it will be unlikely we will know whether Giroux will be playing until just before puck drop.
The game will be begin at 7:30 PM EST on Wednesday, December 21 and will air on Versus.
