Flyers Vs. Rangers: Philadelphia Avoids Shutout, Still Down By Three Late In Third Period

The New York Rangers continued to pile it on early in the third period of their Friday night game against the Philadelphia Flyers. After coming out of the second period with a 2-0 lead, they struck first in the third period. Marian Gaborik scored before two minutes passed in the third. Assists were credited to Anton Stralman and Michael Del Zotto.

Henrik Lundqvist looked as if he was well on his way to his third shutout of the season but just past the halfway point of the third period, the Flyers were able to get their first goal of the game. It was scored by Andrej Meszaros on a power play, with assists by Matt Carle and Scott Hartnell.

The Rangers went on a power play with just over six mintes left in the game and were able to score their fourth goal of the game on Ilya Bryzgalov. The goal was scored by right winger Ryan Callahan and has pretty much sealed this game. With just over four minutes left to play in the third period, this game is all but over.
