Philadelphia Flyers center Brayden Schenn will return to the lineup Tuesday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning for the first time in more than three weeks.
Schenn, a highly-regarded 20-year old, has missed nine straight games since suffering a concussion on Dec. 3 against the Phoenix Coyotes.
"You just want to get the first shift, the first period and the first game out of the way, then you can stop thinking about it and keep going on with the season," Schenn said of his injury. "I've been sitting home and thinking about it obviously quite a bit lately, and it's just good to get this out of the way and move on."
Due partially to injuries, Schenn has played only six games this season for Philadelphia, tallying zero points and a minus-6. He has also played seven games with the AHL's Adirondack Phantoms, scoring six goals and adding six assists.
