Flyers' Prospect Zac Rinaldo Notches 28 PIM In One Period

Some funny news from Broad Street Hockey this morning about Flyers prospect Zac Rinaldo, who is currently playing his trade in the AHL with the Phantoms. In a game against the Albany Devils, Rinaldo managed to rack up 28 penalty minutes in just one period.

Rinaldo was certainly not alone in the box however, as the two teams combined for 130 penalty minutes in the first two periods. The biggest incident came when a Phantom player ran into the Albany goalie and started a brawl.

It touched off a melee that resulted in 62 penalty minutes, game misconducts to Jon Kalinski and Darcy Zajac and security guards helping to separate fans from Louis Robitaille and Leblond in the visitor's penalty box.

Security guards separating players and fans... it's almost as if the story is just recapping the plot of Slapshot.

The newest member of the Flyer's organization Tom Sesito made his Phantoms debut and yes... got into a fight with a guy named Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond.
