As quickly as the Stamkos-to-Philly trade rumors were brought up, they were just as quickly shot down.
Sam Carchidi (@BroadStBull), the catalyst of my previous update, tweeted this at about 1:40 P.M.:
TB writers expect Stamkos to sign with Lightning later this week.
One of those writers was Erik Erlendsson (@erlendssontrib), who writes for the Tampa Tribune. Here's what he had to say via Twitter:
OK people, Stamkos is not being traded, so please stop with the "I heard" or "somebody posted'' because there are no trade talks.
