Flyers Vs. Panthers Final Score: Philadelphia Wins Tuesday, 3-2, Following Shootout

The Philadelphia Flyers needed an overtime period and a shootout, but ultimately prevailed, beating the Florida Panthers 3-2 on Tuesday night. Claude Giroux beat Scott Clemmensen stick side for the game winner during the shootout.

The Panthers took a quick 1-0 lead off of a poweplay goal from Mikael Samuelsson just 2:49 into the game. Brayden Schenn responded with a powerplay goal about 10 minutes later, before Jakub Voracek gave the Flyers a 2-1 lead heading into the second period. Tomas Fleischmann's goal with just under five minutes to go in the second would be the final tally of regulation.

The Flyers outshot the Panthers 37-25 for the game, but Clemmensen was outstanding in net for the most part. Sergei Bobrovsky earned the last laugh, however, stonewalling Florida on all three of their shootout chances after going 0-for-5 in his previous opportunities this season.
