A night after Philadelphia Flyers forward Danny Briere netted a hat trick to basically single-handedly beat the Ottawa Senators at the Wells Fargo Center, the same two Eastern Conference teams meet up at Scotiabank Place to complete a weekend home-and-home series (5 p.m. ET on COMCAST). The Flyers (24-11-4, 52 points) collected a 3-2 overtime victory over the Senators (21-15-6, 48 points) Saturday, and could extended their current winning streak to three games with a win Sunday.
Philadelphia, winners of three of its last four games, is also looking to extended its winning streak over Ottawa to three games.
Meanwhile, the Senators are 7-2-1 since Dec. 16 and just had their four-game winning streak snapped. A victory Sunday would help Ottawa move within two points of fourth-place Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference standings.
In the last six games in Ottawa, the Senators have won five of their last six, including a current streak of three in a row.
