The Philadelphia Flyers enter the second leg of their four game road trip on Thursday night when they take on the Edmonton Oilers, a team they haven't beaten away from home in eleven years.
The Oilers have lost three straight games at home, but routed the Flames 6-1 in Calgary on Tuesday night, and the Flyers will have to tighten up their defense against one of the league's exciting young offensive squads.
The Flyers defensive woes have peaked in the past six games, during which they've given up 24 goals. Prized off-season acquisition Ilya Bryzgalov continues to struggle in net for Philaedelphia, and has allowed seven goals in his past two starts. Fortunately for Philadelphia, their offense has picked up the defensive slack by posting a league-best 3.3 goals per game.
The puck will drop at 9:30 p.m. EST on Thursday night, and can be seen locally on Comcast.
