The Philadelphia Flyers look to register at least one point for their sixth straight game when they host the New Jersey Devils Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
The Flyers have won three of their past five, falling in shootouts during the two losses to register a five-game point streak. Wayne Simmonds tallied two scores and Matt Read and Claude Giroux each notched goals as Philadelphia snapped the Nashville Predators' five-game winning streak on Thursday night, 4-1. Ilya Bryzgalov turned away 26 shots in his 175th career win.
New Jersey has won two straight, including a 5-3 victory against the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night. Zach Parise scored two goals, netting the game-winner with 2:44 remaining, and David Clarkson added two scores of his own, providing the two-goal cushion with an empty-netter in the waning moments. The Devils are in fourth place in the Atlantic Division, fighting for an Eastern Conference playoff spot.
