Flyers Vs. Lightning Final Score: Bryzgalov Struggles In 5-3 Loss

There's no denying that Ilya Bryzgalov has been one of the biggest contributors to the Phildelphia Flyers' success this season. He entered Monday night's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning having allowed two goals or fewer in 11 straight games. He struggled mightily against a Tampa offense that made the most of its limited opportunities, however, stopping just 10 of 14 shots against in a 5-3 Flyers loss.

Philadelphia created 38 shots on goal on the night, outshooting the Lightning 16-to-2 in a two-goal second period. They never once held a lead, however, falling behind 2-0 on goals by Ryan Malone and Steven Stamkos in the first period. Wayne Simmonds and Matt Read tied the game up again in the second but Martin St. Louis scored just 2:27 into the third to put Tampa up for good.

Dwayne Roloson played well in net for the Lightning considering the relative barrage he faced, recording 35 saves. Bryzgalov and the Flyers will look to get back on track when they hit the road to face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night.
