Bryzgalov Limps Off Ice After Loss To Tampa Bay

Ilya Bryzgalov struggled mightily in net Monday night, stopping just 10 of 14 shots on net in a 5-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The performance was bizarre considering how well the goaltender had been playing lately, letting in two goals or fewer in 11 straight games. We may now know the reason why Bryzgalov floundered, and it's not good news for Philadelphia Flyers fans:

Bryzgalov reportedly limped off the ice after possibly getting hit on the leg in warm-ups Monday, according to Carchidi. He was gimpy walking around the locker room after the loss, and had to have X-rays taken after the game.

Whatever the prognosis on Bryzgalov, Sergei Bobrovsky will likely get the start in net against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday. Monday was Bryzgalov's 19th start in the Flyers' last 20 games. He stopped short of saying he needed a breather, however.

"I just an employee here," [Bryzgalov] said before limping away. "Whatever the coach decides, I going to do it."
