Flyers Vs. Senators Final Score: Flyers Lose 4-3 In Shootout

The Philadelphia Flyers and Ottawa Senators participated in a wild game on Saturday. First, the Senators scored three goals in the first period and led 3-0 after one. The Flyers came roaring back to tie the game, scoring three goals of their own in the second period. Then, the third period was scoreless and the game went into overtime.

Overtime began with Danny Briere making a great move to break free only to have his shot attempt hit the right post. The Flyers also had another golden opportunity to ice the game, as they played the final 48 seconds of overtime with a 4 on 3 power play. They were unable to capitalize and the game entered a shootout.

The shootout ended with Danny Briere missing a shot and Ottawa escaping with a 4-3 SO win, despite blowing an early 3-0 lead.

The Flyers travel to Pittsburgh to face the Penguins on Sunday.
